Seeking a highly motivated individual as a Desktop Support Technician to join our rapidly growing team in an emerging industry! The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent problem solving /troubleshooting skills, who is able to identify and execute appropriate courses of action. The candidate will be an all-around techie, customer obsessed, cable management “neat-freak” with a “can-do!” spirit (friendly demeanor and lots of patience for frustrated/confused customers is a must!)
What You Will Do:
- Be the first line of support for end-users
- Track and close (through resolution) service ticket requests in Happy Fox
- Servicing clients running Microsoft Windows based networks with Active Directory
- Strong experience in VPN and secure remote access, cloud migrations, digital video surveillance, & VoIP Solutions
- Strong ability to setup and configure hardware, maintain, and analyze software and computer peripherals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Candidate would be responsible for end user application support and general maintenance for backups, anti-viruses, and security update deployment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Certifications:
- Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in related IT field
- Preferred Degree/Certifications (any of the following): Computer Science, Cybersecurity, CIS, MS, MIS,COMPTIA (N, S, or A), MCP (any level)
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day and the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m, some flexibility required. Occasional evening and weekend/on-call work may be required as job duties demand.
*Some Travel may be required. Transportation allowance offered. Regular worksites include: Annapolis, Hagerstown
