Description:
- Act as Responsible Engineer over engineering changes prepared by self and those performed by other architectural engineers in the Design Engineering Department.
- Work within a diverse team to complete various tasks to support major capital projects.
Provide independent engineering service and support to perform highly complex engineering tasks requiring specialized skills and broad experience in the application of engineering fundamentals in support of the design modification, operating, and independent assessment of Client facilities. Serve as an advisor to others. PRINCIPAL
Principal Accountabilities
•Perform highly complex engineering analyses and designs in support of operations, systems, programs, audit inspections, and assessments requiring skills and experience gained through application of engineering methods and analysis, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Work with minimal supervision. Serve as an advisor providing advice and counsel on assignments concerned with specialized or unique engineering requirements. Solutions provided involve unconventional or innovative program solving techniques. Provide technical leadership and training on highly complex or extended projects.
•Tasks typically involve highly complex problem solving techniques and require advanced application of practices and methodologies. Provide leadership of small groups to resolve complex issues. Available guidance generally does not exist to fit problems encountered and advanced technological skills are required to provide solutions.
•Provide technical direction and leadership routinely to other engineers; serve as a mentor. Provide training to others.
•Identify need and initiate development of new policies, programs, plans, and procedures to meet strategic objectives.
•Assure compliance with regulatory and industry guidance. Provide interpretation of industry guidance for application.
•Identify potential problems in design, quality, or operation and initiate corrective action in accordance with plant Condition Report (CR) process.
Required Education and Experience
Requires knowledge of discipline engineering principles, practices, and theories, and methods to identify and solve the highest complex problems and perform sophisticated analyses. Advanced technical knowledge of related disciplines is required.
- Must maintain current knowledge of industry developments and applications to Client.
Desired Education and Experience
Ten plus- Years engineering experience in a technical environment, including two or more years’ experience in licensing and regulatory processes;
Required abilities and skills
Effective communication skills are required to relate to both highly analytical and non-scientific backgrounds.
- Ability to provide strong technical guidance, leadership, and technical training to other technical employees.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.

- Ability to represent Engineering in industry working groups and other discipline related activities.
