POSITION: Dentist (Independent Contractor)
POSITION SUMMARY:
La Colonia Medical Center is seeking a Dentist to provide dental care and service, provide education and preventive care advice to our patients in the area of Broward (Tamarac).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform General dentistry services, including the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums and related oral structures.
Responsible for accurate, timely, and complete documentation in patient records in accordance with set policies.
Conduct or direct education effective communications to patients, families, and other health care providers.
Assess and interpret patients’ data relevant to successful treatment.
Examine patients to determine the nature of the condition affecting the patient, utilizing x-rays, dental instruments and other diagnostic procedures.
Provide preventive dental services and education in oral and dental hygiene.
Coordinate laboratory services for the dental office.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited University.
Active State of Florida Dental Board license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
Must be able to work with computers and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Outstanding communication skills - verbal and written.
Must be fluent in spoken and written English/Spanish.
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication to deliver a pleasant patient experience.
Satisfactorily complete background check.
