Description:

The Day Program Director is responsible for overall coordination, supervision, and efficient operations of the agency’s Day Program. The Day Program Director will support the mission and vision of Bethesda House. This position will provide direction and support in supervising the Day Program staff, which includes the Program Assistant, Day Program Coordinator, Kitchen staff, and volunteers. This position is a member of the On-Call Team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field required.

Minimum five years of experience providing services to the homeless or in a related human service field necessary.

Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.

Computer literacy needed.

Knowledge of agencies, programs, and services in the community helpful.

Valid, clean NYS Driver’s License and ability to provide own transportation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Will work in collaboration with peers and their various programs to provide sound leadership in a not-for-profit agency and provide leadership in the form of monthly, or more frequent, House Meetings in the Hospitality Center or Dining Center.

Will conduct weekly supervision meetings with key staff, oversee the Hospitality Center and its various services as well as the A4TF staff members.

Twenty-five percent of time will be allocated to direct client contact or as appropriate.

Will speak to outside groups on behalf of the agency and represent it in a rofessional manner.
