Position Summary:
The Data Analyst works with the publishing team to shape how ISACA’s publishing output is measured and develop reports and dashboards using existing BI systems. This role will assist in developing strategies, evaluating initiatives, and defining and tracking KPIs – leading the way for the publishing team's high-quality, data-driven decisions. Their input will be essential to decision-making for publishing initiatives by helping define how performance is measured and what questions they should ask. This role works closely with the broader publishing team and IT, Finance, Operations, and other departments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Reporting & Analytics
- Process, analyze, and report on ISACA’s publishing products, providing deeper insights and enabling the organization to refine strategy and execution.
- Develop and maintain reporting independently and through other teams (i.e., through collaboration with IT and Finance to maintain and enhance current reporting dashboards and develop new reports in existing BI tools).
- Use existing BI tools to investigate data, develop dashboards, and create ad hoc reports to identify opportunities to drive deeper engagement and ROI.
- Inform publishing strategies by assisting with defining core metrics and creating/updating dashboards for initiatives as needed.
- Support the publishing team with analytics throughout the development process, from high-level prioritization to post-launch review.
- Provide a detail-oriented, impact-oriented, customer-centric approach to data analysis.
Discovery & Insights
- Evaluate the success of products post-launch to inform publishing and go-to-market strategy.
- Dive deep into data and provide insights and recommendations to ensure goals can be met or exceeded.
- Research and report on competitors to benchmark ISACA’s current and potential content offerings and inform strategies.
- Provide expertise and support on any data anomaly issues and help rectify any data issues.
- Aid in developing survey reports by reviewing for statistical accuracy and helping to identify key areas of focus based on data.
Required Field of Study:
- Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Science, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum Years of Experience Required:
- 2 years
Description of Minimum Experience Required:
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and interpret quantitative analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite (including Excel, Power BI, PPT, etc.)
- Ability to express complex information in simple, elegant ways
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Science, or equivalent work experience
- Preferred Years of Experience:
- 4 years
Description of Preferred Experience:
- Experience with Salesforce and/or Fonteva
- SQL skills
- Strong statistical foundations
- Some technical background and programming experience, particularly R or Python
