Summit Technical Solutions (STS) is seeking a Knowledge Manager - to provide support for the for the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) under the on the Command Information Management Systems (CIMS III) contract at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

General Position Description:

This position requires multiple years of experience gathering custom software requirements, designing database tables, working with customers, building custom Microsoft ASP.NET applications using Visual Studio, database administration, preferably Oracle, and working with an Oracle database back end, as well as administering an Oracle Linux server. Duties include; a significant Cyber Security component keeping operating system, Oracle database and application suite in compliance with the latest Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs). This employee will also need to work with other members of the G6 team from time to time to make sure the application, database and operating system are in compliance with the latest STIGs, weekly vulnerability scans, and remain available for users with very little downtime.

This position requires a level of expertise in programming and database administration which will allow the employee to perform the duties with little or no assistance; that tends to be a solo position. Knowledge of using VSphere for backups, command-line Oracle database patching, and command-line Oracle Linux shell scripting is a requirement for this job. Specific knowledge of the day to day business operations of USASMDC, the KMST application suite, and customers is preferred as this person will be expected to “hit the ground running.” Overall there are several business operation critical applications must be supported, so this employee must be able to work under pressure.

Other duties include: Providing continuity training to key personnel for technical redundancy.

• Knowledge of using VSphere for backups, command-line Oracle database patching, and command-line Oracle Linux shell scripting is a requirement for this job.
• Specific knowledge of the day to day business operations of USASMDC, the KMST application suite, and customers is preferred as this person will be expected to “hit the ground running.”
• The employee selected must be able to work under pressure, as there are several business operation critical applications must be supported
• Both Security Plus certification and at least SQL certification are required in order to meet IA 8570 requirements.
