Job description
AMF specializes in coatings for aluminum consisting of hardcoat anodize (Type III), regular anodize (Type II), chemical conversion coating / chem film (both hexavalent and trivalent), as well as electropolish and passivation for stainless steel alloys. AMF processes and services are performed to and in compliance with a multitude of military and commercial specifications and requirements.

JOB SUMMARY
SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops & maintains positive relationships with customers.
- Reads and interprets customer purchase orders, drawings and special instructions; as an output, enters order information including requirements, schedules, and pricing into a business software system.
- Serves as product quality liaison between customer and AMF. Researches and documents corrective actions and responses to customer issued quality nonconformance notices.
- Answers customer emails and phone calls providing information on company services and status of orders.
- Effectively communicates and meets customer expectations while presenting a highly professional and customer centric focus.
- Obtains status of jobs from production personnel and effectively communicates to customers as needed.
- Prepares UPS, FedEx or freight carrier documents for shipment.
- May enter purchase orders and order parts and supplies from suppliers.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Has a minimum of 3 years experience in a related function and manufacturing environment.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Familiar with CNC components and assemblies made from aluminum and stainless steel alloys.
- General understanding of typical Mil-Spec special processes for chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, etc. or other similarly constructed specifications.
- Previous experience working in an ISO 9001 or similarly regulated company is a plus..
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Quickbooks products.
- Has valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Primarily works in an air conditioned office but also requires visits to the shop production area which is non-air conditioned.
- Temperatures in the shop may fluctuate with outside weather conditions and chemical fumes may be present.
- Use of safety equipment may be required in shop when necessary (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.).
