Delivery Express is currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our team of professionals in Tukwila, WA.

About the role:
The successful candidate will contribute to the success of the customer service team in providing world-class delivery solutions. The primary responsibility is communicating with customers on the phone and through chat to place orders and resolve issues. With a focus on customer satisfaction and care; the goal is ensuring the highest quality of service is provided by strengthening the relationship between Delivery Express and its customers.
This is a full-time position primarily based out of our Tukwila office. Must be able to work remotely 2-3 days per week and have a dedicated space to work and meet the work from home criteria. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30pm and requires an individual with the flexibility to start earlier or end later when necessary. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
What you’ll do:
- Handle 30-60 daily customer service calls, accurately enter customer orders into system and provide service information to the customer
- Interact with customers daily, responding to their questions and guide them to the appropriate service level to exceed their expectations
- Support shared email inbox, responding to 10 – 20 customers email requests per day
- Resolve order issues and client concerns in a timely manner
- Handle calls in support of route work
- Proactively communicating with customers on job changes
- Troubleshoot answers to customer questions when they arise
- Provides support to other departments as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A professional, friendly and detail oriented individual
- Excellent creative problem solving and negotiation skills
- Must be detailed oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Must be capable of learning quickly and possesses good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
- Experience solving problems in a positive manner
- Have an aptitude for learning new systems
- Knowledge of the Puget Sound region, including major cities and highways
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in an office or call center environment, Delivery or Transportation operations experience is a plus
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, or walk in both an office and warehouse environment.
