Job description
POSITION SUMMARY: Assist with internal and external customer request, assist with phone duties, prepares/ sends necessary forms for drops/transfer/beneficiary changes, Key FM’s for deaths, drops, transfers, prepares duplicate policies, filing, or any other similar job-related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Assist with internal and external customer request
2. Assist with phone duties
3. Prepares/sends necessary forms for customer service request
4. Check cash policy claims for any that need change of beneficiary form
5. File paid claims
6. Prepares duplicate policies
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares/mails weekly statements for former Co-Operative policyholders
- Prepares monthly income distribution
- Prepares monthly policy loan interest statements
- Cross train with other Administrative staff
- Make changes for Christeson, Marion County Burial, post claim in folder & laserfische
- Other similar job-related duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or its equivalent. Good phone skills, computer and typing skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret general business. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and the general public. Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percents.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Basic knowledge of general office procedures and operation of office equipment. Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
