Custodian
Job description
Under direct supervision, is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the general appearance and cleanliness of various facilities. Performs a variety of custodial tasks and duties such as cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, polishing, cleaning restrooms, etc. Must be able to work nights and weekends
High school graduate with the ability to learn and utilize new skills in the area of Custodial work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be physically able to operate a vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, and a copier. Must be able to exert up to fifty pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to twenty-five pounds of force frequently, and/or up to ten pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of ten to fifty pounds.
