Credentialing Specialist & Patient Access Auditor opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!!

Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Credentialing Specialist position in our Patient Financial Services department. The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for the credentialing process for new and established practitioners. Specifically, the credentialing specialist will acquire primary source information necessary for initial application or verification (e.g., peer recommendations, professional liability history, employment history, etc.) to ensure that all physicians and mid-level providers meet health plan requirements—as well as complete day-to-day administrative tasks (e.g., database management) as necessary. Ultimately, the following duties serve to ensure Bitterroot Health Corporation (MDMHC) and its employed practitioners remain compliant with state and federal certification and licensure regulations by maintaining up-to-date records of each provider’s current credentialed status. Additional duties of this position will include audits on Patient Access registrations, coordinating activities of all registration functions within the hospital and clinic domains, and providing feedback to the Patient Access Developer to facilitate the provision of follow-up education.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree in Business related field highly desired
• Licensures, Certifications, Registrations: Certification through National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) preferred
• Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proven experience working directly with hospital personnel such as physicians and credentialing representatives
• Experience: 2-5 years credentialing experience in a hospital setting preferred
