As a craftsman you will perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.

Essential Duties

· Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.

· Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.

· Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.

· Perform routine maintenance and preventive maintenance actions

· Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.

· Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.

· Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.

· Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams

· Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other parts of building structures

· Align and balance new equipment after installation

· Provide grounds keeping services, such as landscaping or snow removal

· Assemble structural components for all facets of carpentry

Qualifications

· Read technical information needed to perform maintenance or repairs

· Ability to operate cranes, hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment

· Proven technical capabilities

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Commitment to integrity and quality

· Positive attitude and self-motivated

· Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
