Mindful Way Counseling (www.mindfulwaycounseling.org) is expanding! We are excited to welcome an additional independently contracted, outpatient mental health counselor/therapist to our growing group private practice! Our current providers are feeling good about their current caseloads, so we're looking to find a new provider to take new referral requests that keep coming our way!

Independent Contractor Position/Job Description:

• Position Type: 1099/Independently Contracted position.
• Pay type: Commission on a per session basis. Financial take home is equivalent to the work you do, and based on licensure (pre or fully licensed, masters or PsyD/PhD, and caseload seen). Financial/Pay information can be presented in the interview and/or interview follow up email based on your specific situation.
• Caseloads: Full caseloads (18+ clients weekly) or Partial caseloads (13-18 clients weekly) available. No quota requirements.
• Work hours: Weekday, daytime hours available and flexible, evenings and weekends optional and not at all required. After school hours are helpful in building caseloads.
• Location: Hybrid model: 1+ days from the office in Fridley, 1+ days from home available, how you choose to split your time is up to you from there!
• Clients: You determine the type of client presentations and populations you would like to see (diagnosis/presenting problems, ages, other demographics, etc.).
• Therapist Responsibility: Enjoy the freedom of managing your own clinical care for clients, with the support of like-minded, well trained colleagues within the clinic. Therapists are responsible for maintaining their caseload of clients, assessments (DAs), treatment planning, scheduling of their clients, documentation of sessions, and collection of client fees. Use of highly efficient, easy to use systems and processes, shared resources, marketing, and referrals.
• Support at and from Mindful Way: Work within an inclusive work environment, with a social justice, anti-racism lens, including collaboration with highly trained colleagues who will celebrate you and your wins, and support the difficult moments in your work. Case consultations provided. Furnished space provided at the office. Shared marketing and referrals to build your practice. Administrative, billing, and credentialing support so you can focus your time on the parts of the job you enjoy most! Fully licensed clinicians are credentialed under the Mindful Way Counseling group with major insurance companies with competitive contracts & reimbursements.

We are open to applicants who work with adults or clients of all ages, who feel like a fit based on the information listed above! If that's you, apply! The following specialty areas are additional things we may be seeking as we look to expand going forward. If any of these are your areas of practice, let us know, we'd love to talk about it!

• Trauma: Because our clinic is focused on providing trauma-informed care, we hope to continue to find clinicians who are trained, planning to be trained, or open to be trained in the next few months in one of the following models: EMDR (EMDRIA approved training), AIR Network, Brainspotting, ART, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
• Therapists who work with children: Folks who have a passion working with children are also encouraged to apply. We have a fully furnished play-therapy space that can be utilized on an as needed basis for all those who work with kiddos at our practice. Play therapy models such as Experiential Play Therapy or Somatic Experiential Play Therapy, Theraplay, Filial, CCPT, Synergetic Play Therapy, TraumaPlay are encouraged.
• Supervisor eligible providers: We may be open to meeting with a provider who is interested in providing supervision after settling into the clinic, if the fit feels right! Supervisors would need to specialize in trauma, have experience working with adults and minors, and are actively engaged in anti-racist, anti-oppressive practices with clients, colleagues, and supervisees.
• LGBTQIA+: Providers who specialize in providing therapy with LGBTQIA+ community are encouraged to apply.
• Eating Disorders: Providers who specialize in eating disorders from a Health At Every Size and/or Intuitive Eating perspective are encouraged to apply.
• Perinatal Mental Health: Providers who have specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health are encouraged to apply.
