Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)

We have great opportunities for positive, motivated individuals to work in an OASAS outpatient clinic setting.

In this position, you will:

• Provide case management, substance abuse counseling, and advocacy services.
• Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team to facilitate the client recovery and rehabilitation processes.
• Develops educational topics and facilitates group counseling.
• Maintains case records, updates treatment plans, writes progress notes and psychosocial histories.

We require:

• Must be certified by NYS OASAS as a CASAC.
• At least 1 year of experience working with chemical dependency and/or mental health experience required including group experience.
• Maintains yearly educational requirements for timely renewal of OASAS credential.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written
• Bilingual strongly preferred.
