QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
Possesses strong secretarial and computer skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Maintains confidentiality appropriately.
Possesses a positive, caring attitude and works well with children and adults.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Include, but are not limited to)
Office Responsibilities:
- Distribution of folders for teacher grade submission.
- Entry of EOC student schedules.
- Entry of manual grades and credit changes for EOC, AE, EA, independent studies, and student aides.
- Entry of independent studies.
- Powerschool.
- Post grades.
- Credit changes.
- Correct schedules.
- Complete grade verification and changes.
- Print report cards each term.
- GPA and class rank
- Calculate.
- Distribute information to counselors.
- Track students with less than 20 credits per semester (SPED & Foreign Exchange Students).
- Create Reports as requested
- Locate graduation dates for former students.
Summer Duties
- Send and receive reports.
- Shift student files
- Enter summer school grades and credit.
- Assist with Summer Stampede.
- E-mail new senior class information to UNL.
Enroll New and Re-entry Students
- Maintain log.
- Assign Bearcat Time (schedule and modify information).
- Enter historical grades from previous school.
- Assist new students with enrollment paperwork.
- Enter incoming 9th grade student requests.
Process Exiting Students
- Maintain log.
- Check out sheet.
- Send school records to new school as needed.
- Verify student exit codes
Assist Staff, Students, and Parents
- Answer phones.
- Backup for answering door.
- Education verification.
- Send transcripts (for past graduates).
- Notarize documents
- Print grades.
- Complete forms for insurance companies.
- Give GPS / class rank to students and parents.
- Assist students and parents with Powerschool access and schedules.
- Complete Social Security forms.
- Provide proof of enrollment letters.
- Receive transcript fees and draft deposits.
- Provide information for various military branches.
- Assist with upcoming school year registration.
- Preparation of new student packets.
- Maintain office supplies.
- Compile student data and complete Omaha World Herald Applications.
- Send out counselor passes.
- Prepare mid-term and end-of-the year check out sheets.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: (Intellectual, Sensory):
- Excellent skills in typing, word processing and computer functions/programs.
- Accepts responsibility and handles stress appropriately and professionally.
- Handles confidential information appropriately.
