Prepares, records, analyzes and reports on the cost of producing the organization's products and services. Analyzes capital budget requests. Maintains ledgers and financial statements.

- Maintains and is responsible for the financial integrity of the Job Cost System and processes. Reviews, analyzes, and reconciles monthly profit margin to the general ledger.
- Reviews and analyzes Billings in Excess of Earned Revenue. Reviews journal entries, reconciliations and project analysis on a monthly basis.
- Prepares and reviews ad hoc reports and analysis as needed by Accounting, Management, and other departments. Assists in the preparation of the annual audit schedules.
- Supervises the reporting of the construction backlog, gross margin, sales and productivity reports. Supervises month-end job cost close, journal entry preparation, and assists financial controller with financial statement close.
- Schedules, assigns, and directs the work of departmental staff. Provides leadership and direction and shares technical expertise with other Partners.
- Develops departmental processes and accounting procedures. Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with business units, customers, and coworkers to promote a quality service image.
- Familiarizes Job Cost Partners with company rules, policies and procedures and ensures all are operating within company guidelines and according to state and local codes. Identifies impactful problems and opportunities. Probes sources for answers and finds effective solutions to complex issues.
- Participates in the hiring process and makes hiring recommendations for the department. Conducts timely, complete and meaningful performance management conversations while growing employee careers.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to manage, mentor and train staff.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
