The Corrugator is the heart of a box making plant, combining large rolls of paper into sheets of corrugated as the first step in our manufacturing process. If you like working in a fast-paced environment as part of a team, the Corrugator Operator is the job for you.

We are looking for energetic people to join the Liberty Packaging Quad Cities production team! Starting pay of $22/hour which includes a $1/hour shift differential! These positions include a full benefits package with 3 weeks of paid time off!

This position is located in Rock Island, Illinois.

Required Skills
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setup and Operate machinery, including hanging/splicing rolls of paper, stacked materials, and tagging loads for destination
• Ensure product quality by conducting visual and tool measurement inspections, monitoring and adjusting machine output settings, and conducting basic quality control and quality assurance tests
• Generate and maintain operational and quality records and reports
• Drive quality standards and operational efficiencies, offering recommendations for improvements, as you contribute directly to our plant operations

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship
• A minimum of 2 years of work experience (preferably within a manufacturing environment) with a good attendance track record
• Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16 inch.
• Ability to follow demonstrated or written work instructions such as machine-related operations, capabilities, light maintenance, and safety requirements
• Ability to withstand continuous standing; climb stairs; pushing, pulling, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs; bending and/or stooping
• Ability to work in hot, humid, and dusty conditions year round
• Ability to communicate verbally via radio with the team
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
