Solstice Senior Living in Sun City West is looking for full time cook who would like to work in an upbeat fun environment and make an impact in the lives of our seniors.

This is a full time positon and weekend availability is a must

Pay range is $17-18 an hour.

• Must be fully vaccinated for covid!
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have at least 1 year Culinary experience in Senior Living
• Must be able to cook for over 150 residents and pass a cooking test
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Must have a great attitude
• Must have an excellent work ethic
• Must be a team player
• Must be a quick learner, willing to follow directions and be a team player.

SUMMARY of Duties
The Cook is responsible for preparing food in accordance with the approved menu, current standards, guidelines, and regulations with established procedures, and as may be directed by the Executive Director and/or Culinary Services Director to assure that quality food service is always provided in a fast paced environment.

WorkExperience Qualifications

• Prefer six months (6) experience in food preparation and in safe handling of food and equipment
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language
• Ability to follow approved, standardized recipes and menus for regular and therapeutic diets
• Ability to make independent decisions and work without supervision

Educational Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
