Banyan Treatment Centers, Palm Springs is currently recruiting for a full-time Cook to join our team in Cathedral City, California!


Location:

  • On-site in Cathedral City, CA 92234

Schedule:

  • To be further developed with Director of Operations.

Pay Range:

  • $17.50-$18/hourly

The Cook provides food services in a residential environment, while communicating with and accessing the support of professional staff.


Essential Functions:

  • Works in collaboration with the Managing Chef to help with the development of menus.
  • Maintains cleanliness of dining room and kitchen and assure preparation and handling of food in accordance to sanitary and with national and local standards.
  • Requisition food, supplies and equipment.
  • Inspect and taste food for quality.
  • Helps in the ordering of food, as needed by Director of Food Services.
  • Inspect and supervise serving of food.
  • Responsible for quality and quantity of food served.
  • Assure preparation of sufficient quantities of food in time to meet meal schedules.
  • Assure storage of perishables and avoidance of food spoilage and waste.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and a variety of employees.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum experience required composed of evidence of experience in above noted areas of practice, to include experience in the area of sanitation, hygiene, food preparation.
