GlobaLogix is seeking a Controls / Electrical Estimator to build the industrial control system and electrical design and construction job costs. You will work closely with sales and engineering, developing and producing cost estimates to be included in Sales Proposals.

Skill Requirements:

Extensive, recent experience in both Control System and Electrical design and construction projects

Able to read and interpret Plot Plans, P&IDs, IO Lists, control system and electrical specs, engineering drawings, wiring / one –line diagrams, conduit schedules, Bills of Material, etc.

Experience and sound knowledge of materials found in controls and electrical systems and construction, such as PLCs, HMIs, power supplies, panel enclosures, switchracks, transmitters, switches, gauges, conduit and fittings, wire, cable tray, etc.

Previous experience with estimation software and ancillary software programs such as pricing tools

Must be computer savvy and have proficient Excel and Word skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be self-directed, motivated, reliable, and work well with everyone

Job Duties:

Bid management and coordination.

Plan, organize, and implement the path for upcoming bids.

Estimate with enough detail to provide accurate budgets.

Design controls philosophy based on client’s expectations, build bill of materials (BOM), scope of work (SOW) and technical exceptions for each proposal.

Work with Sales to include accurate pricing in Sales Proposals.

Provide detail which will allow Procurement to submit material requisitions to suppliers

Aggregate labor, materials, equipment, expenses, etc. Into the estimation tool

Travel to Bid meetings and provide the technical support to the sales staff as needed.
