This role's duties will require planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. In this role, it will be critical for you to lead with integrity and reliability and have the ability to manage self and others with urgency, practicality and accountability when providing client services. - Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
- Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities
- Assure client expectations are met by reviewing deliverables of self and team
- Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners
- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
- Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
- Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation
- Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals
- Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
- Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed
- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
- Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required
- Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
- Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
- Strong familiarity with general ledger
- Demonstrated knowledge of Inventory Audits
- Experience with Annual Inventory
- Practical knowledge of inventory planning & reporting
- Solid understanding of manufacturing
- Adeptness in inventory controls
- General familiarity with inventory analysis
- Budget forecasting experience
- Expertise in Manufacturing Setting
- Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
- Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
- Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
