This position will be a key part of our management team and work closely with the CEO. This position has the opportunity to grow into a CFO role over time.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As Purple Eagle continues to grow quickly, we need to scale our financial processes and backend financial systems to meet the necessary standards of a large corporation. You will be a focal point in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and controls.

• Oversee and manage the monthly and quarterly close process in support of all business functions
• Review journal entries and account reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Support, develop and document accounting policies and financial procedures to maintain & strengthen internal controls & compliance
• Assist in the development of key accounting policies and document memos
• Assist in various accounting functions such as accounts payable analysis, accounts receivable reporting and support, payroll reconciliation, expense report processing, and other ad-hoc general accounting-related tasks.
• Analyze existing processes and systems and identify and lead improvement opportunities
• Responsible for the hierarchy and scalability in Chart of Accounts and accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements
• Prepare detailed journal entries and maintain authority over classification and booking of all transactions
• Participate in the ongoing development and establishment of accounting policies and procedures
• Participate in the development of operational strategies, including the review and implementation of process and system changes
• Collaborate with business partners on projects to help the flow of business, such as inventory management and expense management
• Help prepare and support ad hoc management special projects as requested

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 6-10 years total experience with a mix of Big 4 and industry experience preferred
• Must be FUN!!!
• You’re a roll-up your sleeves & get stuff done type of person
• Experience managing finance transformation projects and initiatives.
• Proven track record for improving processes and solving problems
• Excellent analytical skillset and ability to think outside the numbers
• Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written skills
• CPA desired but not required
• Previous managerial experience is a plus
• Big 4 experience is a plus
• Experience with Quickbooks is a plus (we are open to changing accounting systems as we grow).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
