Responsibilities:
- Lead contract administration activities from the proposal through closeout.
- Administer daily contract activities for a variety of product lines and contract types, including cost reimbursable and firm fixed.
- Participate in internal company and customer meetings; performing and monitoring compliance to contract requirements.
- Ensure non-disclosure agreements and contract terms and conditions are negotiated within company guidelines.
- Review contractual documents to protect the company’s contractual posture, adherence to company policies, provide advice and counsel to various levels of leadership regarding contractual rights and obligations and interpretation of terms and conditions.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Interpret, apply, and follow contract acquisition rules, company policies, and customer specifications.
- Effectively communicate, verbally and written, with both internal and external customers.
- Deal effectively with competing priorities and deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.
- Candidate must be a self-starter and able to work collaboratively with team members, including in an advisory role to program management, site management, and the customers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience in a Contracts related field - OR - 5 years direct contracts administrative experience in lieu of a BS degree, providing a basic understanding of Government contracting requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts at the same time of moderate value and risk level, including various contract types such as cost reimbursable and fixed price.
- Must possess excellent decision-making skills that support resolution of complex problems while minimizing risk to the company.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS clauses
- Experience administering invoices for a federal contractor company.
Physical Components and Work Environment:
- Minimum physical demands of position: Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Position requires ability to work on desktop or laptop computer, sometimes for extended periods of time, reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports via email or otherwise in written format.
- Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 15 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
- Work environment: Office type environment with temperature control. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
