Primary Purpose:
- Coordination of medication shortages including recommendation and review of clinically appropriate alternatives based on supply and availability
- Submission of change requests to the electronic health record build team including medication shortage alerts, new formulary build requests, and billing updates
- Assistance with coordination of formulary additions and deletions
- Review of electronic health records
- Oversite repackaging activities at the Consolidate Services Center (CSC)
- Identification of quality improvement projects and cost savings initiatives
- Answer clinical drug information, administration, and stability questions from areas supported by the CSC including ambulatory surgery sites, outpatient clinics, and pharmacy technicians
- Use of pharmacy automation and perpetual inventory systems
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree preferred.
- Completion of a post-graduate residency and/or board-certified preferred
