Summary/Objectives

The Construction Superintendent is assigned to CCS construction project to assemble, erect, reconstruct, and provide maintenance. It’s his/her responsibility to supervise and direct all activities in the safest construction process available. Superintendent will work closely with CCS Construction Manager, Project Manager, Engineering, and Purchasing to exceed the customer's expectations.

Essential Functions

• Take responsibility for all construction activities on the jobsite.
• Must be able to pass background check.
• Must demonstrate the ability to plan job procedures in a safe and efficient manner.
• Understands Host Employers Safety and Health requirements and ensure that they are implemented and met.
• Must be able to attend jobsite meetings with contractors/owner to discuss job productivity, deadlines, and site issues.
• Must be able to conduct weekly and daily safety meetings on the jobsite.
• Must be able to fill out a Job Safety Analysis.
• Must be able to coordinate with other contractors’ onsite.
• Must always maintain good working relationship with the customer.
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to recognize potential safety and health hazards.
• Ensure that all required safety inspections are performed on the jobsite.
• Must be able to organize workers and ensure they are performing as required.
• Must be proactive with paperwork and documentation for jobsite training and safety.
• Must be willing to travel 100%.
• Must have 5 to 10 years of cooling tower or commercial industrial experience.
• Must have good leadership abilities.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
• Must have valid Driver’s License
• Rigging, Forklift, and Man lift Certification
• Must pass Drug Test

Required Education and Experience

• High school or equivalent education with concentration on Cooling Towers/HVAC
• Must have 5 to 10 years of cooling tower or commercial industrial experience.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• CPR Certification
• First Aide Certification

Preferred Education and Experience

Business Management Degree, Construction Management Degree. Courses in construction technology and management and/or work experience in craft or technical positions a plus.

• Must be able to use transit/laser level to lay out basin
• Must have knowledge or understand Motor Amp readings
• Must understand crane load charts and signaling

Physical Factors

This position requires lifting to 50lbs or greater. Must have ability to climb stairs, walk, and stand for long periods of time.

Working Conditions

All work will be performed outside. Must be willing to work in all climates during different times of year.
