Construction Project Manager:

General Overview

Seeking an experienced civil construction project manager who is responsible for overseeing several different types of civil and state construction projects. To lead the project from initiation to close, hiring subcontractors, working with vendors, and tracking inventory of equipment and materials. This person should be knowledgeable about regulation, permits and project management methodology. They should also work well with others, be highly organized and detail-oriented, meet deadlines and strive to stay on budget. A plus if you speak both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities:

• Working with NCDOT
• Working on City and State Project
• Define the project scope
• Create a construction estimate based on material takeoff
• Create and manage a construction project budget
• Create a construction project management plan
• Negotiate with general contractors and subcontractors to obtain profitable construction contracts
• Develop a construction schedule, with project deliverables and milestones
• Keep inventory of tools, equipment, and machinery
• Manage resources such as construction material, construction workers and equipment
• Allocate and manage resource logistics
• Create status reports for projects

Skills & Training

• Fluency in software programs related to construction such as: AGTEK, B2W BID TO WIN, QuickBooks and Quantum Software
• Read NCDOT and municipalities blueprints
• Site work, earth works, curb and gutter, flatwork, storm drainage, grading, utilities, project specs, submittals, RFI, RFQ
• Current with rules and regulation related to construction
• Knowledgeable in both construction management and project management

Work Experience

• 3 + Years of construction management experience managing budgets and schedules
• Prior experience managing a construction site and construction crew

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49,724.00 - $58,000.00 per year

• 10 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

• Supply, NC 28462: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
