Construction Carpenter

Starting Salary: $57,200 - $67,500

Job Type: Full Time

Purpose and Description:

Relax & Co. is looking for a hard working, team driven individual to join our residential Construction/Carpentry crew. Carpenters can work in a range of different settings between working in the shop, on site at a homeowner’s property, or traveling to local vendors for sourcing and purchasing of materials. Job tasks can include duties such as loading and unloading materials, taking measurements, installing doors and windows, designing and fitting kitchens, building furniture and sometimes operating heavy machinery. Candidates must be good communicators, enjoy working with the customers and be well trained in all facets of carpentry skills or have an interest and high level of drive to perfect their craft. All positions will require passing of drug test and background check prior to employment.

Responsibilities/Activities:

- Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work
- Interior & exterior trim, installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation
- Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures
- Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations
- Check and maintain Relax & Co. equipment
- Load and unload materials and supplies
- Communicate materials needed to management teams
- Willingness to work occasional on call evenings and weekends
- Manage work order and purchase order processes as outlined by Relax & Co protocols
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn company software including Slack, Google Calendars/Docs/Sheets, and Housecall Pro.

5. A valid driver’s license
6. A working phone and email
7. Consistently wear uniform and or comply with the company dress code
8. Pass a drug test and background check prior to employment
9. Prior experience in the field and/or education is a big positive!

- Experience of using hand and power tools such as drills, chisels, sanders, saws and nail guns
- Mechanical skills to use heavy machinery and equipment that is used regularly
- Physical strength when performing heavy labor that is required
- Physical stamina in order to handle the long hours of performing strenuous work during the day in hot or cold weather
