Job Summary
The Department of Human Development and Family Science is seeking a Specialist I, Communications and Marketing – Department to oversee social media, and aid in communications for the USDA-funded OneOp project. OneOp provides free and open-access online professional development resources for family service providers around the United States serving military families. Learn more about OneOp here:

This is a full time, one year, limited term position. Continuation of employment
is contingent upon availability of funding.
This is a fully remote position. The selected candidate must reside in the states of Alabama or Georgia.

Essential Functions
- Execute a results-driven social media strategy
- Create and edit engaging text, image, and video content
- Post live events on social media and other channels
- Track performance of social media campaigns
- Maintain a unified brand voice across different social media channels
- Collaborate with the communications team to create a social media calendar
- Monitor social media channels for industry trends
- Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments
- Review analytics and create reports on key metrics
- Assist in the development and management of social media marketing strategy
