Commercial Diving Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities

The Dive Supervisor executes and manages assigned commercial diving and marine construction projects at the job site; implements approved work plans and schedules managing job site requirements ensuring safe, effective operations; conducts systems maintenance and equipment calibration as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform the duties of surface-supplied air diving supervisor as defined in paragraph 3.4 of the international consensus standards for commercial diving and underwater operations 6.4 edition
• Job preparation and load out
• Job close out and reconstitution
• Execute each project ensuring a satisfied customer including legal requirements such as: ADCI regulations, IMCA provisions and state and federal laws
• Manage a single project in a dynamic environment including cost control
• Maintain logs ensuring timely maintenance and certification of dive equipment
• Maintain dive logs and reports
• Supervise operations, assign job site work activities, set goals, monitor performance and evaluate results
• Write detailed notes, drawings and videos to inform reports for customers

Location and Type of Work

We work primarily in Austin, Texas area on dams, power plants, and municipal water intakes.

Requirements:

• Must have valid driver license
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Current certifications of all diver owned equipment (i.e. Hat, bailout, etc)
• Must possess a current physical
• Ability to work in all weather conditions; rain, sleet, storm, snow, heat, etc.
• Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively
• Current ADCI Supervisor Card
• Current TWIC
• Oxygen Provider/DANO2
• Current First/Aid CPR certification

Standard work hours, availability and pay

• The pay rate is $35-$45 per hour depending on experience
• Diving is primarily conducted Monday- Thursday, however, some jobs may require overtime and weekend work.
• Daily rate bonuses

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
