Controlled Automation Beam Line Machine Operator

Job Description

A CNC Operator is responsible for cutting and processing material by operation of CNC

machines such as Saw/Drill Beam Line, Plasma Machine & Burn Table, and Plate Processor

machine according to project specifications. The ideal candidate will have 3-plus years of CNC

machine experience.

Responsibilities:

• Operating CNC machines.
• Produce quality parts in conformity to project drawings and specifications.
• Operate machinery according to manufacturers’ guidelines and company policy.
• Set up and run projects in the most effective and efficient manner.
• Verify measurements of cut material.
• Review project specifications to determine machine setup procedure, machine sequencing,

and dimensions are accurate.

• Ensure safe working practices are followed.
• Maintain equipment by greasing and oiling equipment daily.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Willingness to provide assistance wherever assistance may be needed.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

· Follow all safety guidelines and policies as defined by Specialty Fabrication & Welding

· Any other duties as assigned

Qualification requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic reading skills and must be able to follow directions
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills preferred
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
• Specific technical or vocational training or certification preferred
• Controlled Automation experience preferred
• Work in a team environment and respect all teammates

· Communicate effectively and efficiently

Physical demands and abilities

• Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
• Regularly perform repetitive tasks
• Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and

accurately

• Ability to operate a fork-lift and an overhead crane
