This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is compassionate about providing care, interested in working with a friendly client, and seeking a long term job.

We are seeking PCA and/or CNA services for a young lady who is quadriplegic. She requires assistance with toileting, dressing, bathing, light housekeeping, cooking, transferring, transportation (through use of her own vehicle), etc. The client uses a Hoyer lift to transfer from bed to chair, chair to shower, and vice versa. The patient also utilizes a belly stoma to catheterize. If the candidate is not familiar with some of the patient’s needs and/or devices, that does not affect the hiring consideration as long as the candidate has a willingness to learn!

We kindly request that the candidate have and maintain the following: professionalism, kindness, promptness, and trustworthiness. If the candidate has serious obligations and/or challenges that will impact work (ex. young children who will need to be picked up), please consider that first as the client desires someone who can maintain a consistent work schedule. Nonetheless, we do realize that emergencies and events beyond the candidate’s control may arise and kindly request advance notice if possible.

The program pays around $10.50/hr. with benefits withheld (ex. healthcare, taxes). Pay occurs on a bi-weekly schedule. The candidate will work between 34-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. The candidate will have to submit timesheets. We typically honor off days on major holidays and vacation days when requested in advance. The client expects start time to be around 11:45 AM for 8 hours on most days and 5-6 hours on others. Nonetheless, the final start time will be no earlier than 9:30 AM. The client’s remote work schedule is the determining factor for when the PCA or CNA will start. We should know for certain the start time within the coming days and will put the strongest candidate on notice. We also appreciate any flexibility the candidate may have but that is not a requirement.

Initial interviews will be held over virtual platforms, such as Zoom, Facetime, Google Meet, etc. It is the candidate’s choice! Should the candidate not have access, we can arrange for an in-person meeting in a public place. Interviews will last between 20-45 minutes. The client will conduct the interviews. A final interview will be held in a public setting, as well as a general overview in the client’s home. Work can start immediately after.
