THE PROGRAM
Come and work for a dynamic team at the Vista Hill Center for Child and Youth Psychiatry. Work closely with a team of psychiatrists, clinicians, nursing staff, case managers, and administrative staff in providing exceptional care to children and youth in San Diego County. Work holistically in providing trauma informed care that is evidence based, solution focused, and client centered. Vista Hill Foundation is an agency with over 65 years of experience providing services to the community, and is excited to facilitate the growth of CCYP. Through the utilization of diverse service modalities, such as telepsychiatry/telehealth and face-to-face practices CCYP plans to reduce barriers to mental health services for those who are most vulnerable and in need of care. Work collaboratively in providing timely communication with providers across the systems of care to ensure children and youth receive quick access to mental health treatment for ongoing stability, and to prevent further deterioration. THE POSITION
Assessment Coordinator is a licensed or associate mental health provider and will be the primary contact for youth and family and will collaborate closely with clinic psychiatrists with whom they will work hand in hand in providing exceptional client centered care to children and youth with complicated medication profiles, and youth involved with the dependency and delinquency systems. The Assessment Coordinator will complete the Behavioral Health Assessment, and identify diagnoses, problem lists, identify case management needs, identify a safety plan, provide therapeutic interventions as well as crisis stabilization, and maintain an electronic health record that meets documentation standards as set forth by Vista Hill and the county. Assessment coordinator to monitor progress, and evaluate need for additional community supports. Furthermore, the Assessment Coordinator will attend regularly scheduled collaborative meetings (ie: Child Family Treatment Team meetings) where they will advocate for youths needs and develop collaborative treatment plans. Assessment coordinator to develop treatment plans that include coordinating long-term care in the community, and a plan for maintained stability.
- Practice as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide counseling/mental health services to assigned clients and provide family support.
- Provide clinical assessments, intervention and support to clients.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s Degree and registration with the state of California BBS as an ASW/AMFT/APCC in good standing (Licensed-eligible candidate OR licensed with the state of California BBS as an LCSW/LMFT/LPCC in good standing.
- Must have experience working in mental health program, mental health clinic, or other behavioral health setting.
- Must have 2-4 years professional experience in working with high risk youth/families.
- Must have experience and knowledge in assessment and treatment of children and adolescents
- Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, TB, background check, and COVID vaccine requirements.
HOURS
Monday Friday, 40 hours per week.
This position is hybrid - a mix of remote and on-site work.
PAY
Registered Clinician- $30.00 per hour
Licensed Clinician- $34.00 per hour
This is a starting rate and will be adjusted based on experience and program location.
$30.00 - $36.00 for Registered; and
$34.00 - $37.00 for Licensed
