POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the support and oversight of the Clinical Programs and onsite operations. Promotes service standards and creates a patient-focused caring environment while ensuring that the needs of the patients are being met and addressed. Fosters an environment of collaboration and respect with providers, nurses, clinical staff, and other Wellbridge members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides on-site support to all treatment programs on campus
  • Facilitates workflow, resources (education, scheduling/staffing, assistance etc.) as needed
  • Oversight of Clinical Schedule/Staffing
  • Clinician assignment oversight/improvements
  • Ensures documentation is compliant with all regulatory agencies
  • Provides expertise as indicated and escalates issues/concerns as needed
  • Ensures communication of quality and/or safety concerns
  • Ensures completion and communication of incident reports
  • Establishes and maintains therapeutic relationship with patients and families
  • Demonstrates consistent professional conduct
  • Adheres to time and attendance protocols
  • Adheres to infection prevention/control practices
  • Demonstrates understanding of clinical risk
  • Provides staff oversight

COLLABORATION

  • Supports a culture of high quality of care across the organization
  • Works collaboratively with the Senior Clinical Director, Clinical Director, and colleagues to develop/oversee personalized treatment plans
  • Promotes relationship with academic and research institutions to promote addiction research and training, and support program improvement
  • Provides crisis and de-escalation support & intervention

SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT

  • Committed and aligned with the vision to help every person affected by addiction
  • Observes clinician practice and provides feedback
  • Supports and empowers staff by providing administrative support, supervision, and consultation
  • Ensures a safe and caring environment that is conducive to positive health teaching, and maintenance that meets patient and family expectations of care
  • Delivers culturally sensitive care to patients, and models sensitivity to all staff

PLANNING AND COORDINATION

  • Conducts and/or participates in clinical team meetings
  • Works closely with clinical and admissions teams to coordinate services to patients
  • Makes recommendations for growth and development of organization
  • Participates in Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance activities

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree in Psychology or Social Work
  • A minimum five (5) years’ experience in the addiction and/or mental health treatment field or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
  • Licensed, in good standing, as a clinician in the State of New York. PhD or LCSW required
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ clinical experience in providing treatment for addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience with therapeutic groups (preferably addiction-oriented), therapeutic communities, and inpatient care

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience and knowledge with:

  • Two years supervisory experience preferred
  • Medication assisted treatment (MAT) and how behavioral interventions can support and improve outcomes for MAT
  • Experience in the delivery of evidence-based behavioral treatments for addiction and co-occurring disorders
  • Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality addiction inpatient care
  • Strong problem solving, conceptual, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to create a positive, respectful, collaborative, and team-focused environment
  • Knowledge and execution of regulations inclusive of those set forth by the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) and The Joint Commission.
