Job Description:
As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests, analyzing specimens, and providing accurate and timely results to healthcare professionals. Your duties will include:
- Conducting complex laboratory tests on blood, tissue, and body fluids.
- Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Analyzing test results and ensuring their accuracy.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to interpret test data.
- Maintaining and updating laboratory records and documentation.
- Adhering to safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Participating in continuous education and staying up-to-date with advancements in laboratory sciences.
To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
- Current certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
- Valid state licensure - CA CLS
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and analyzing results.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to quality patient care and continuous improvement.
