Job description

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced psychiatrist to join our team. You will be responsible for assessing patients, diagnosing or ruling out mental disorders, prescribing treatments, and conducting regular follow-up appointments to monitor the patient's progress.

To be successful as a psychiatrist, you should have a strong passion for helping patients overcome and manage their mental health. Top candidates will be excellent listeners and communicators.

Responsibilities for Adolescent Psychiatrist

  • Meeting and observing children’s conditions.
  • Inquiring with the patient’s family about the patient’s medical history.
  • Assessing patients through interviews, observations, tests, and medical history reviews.
  • Diagnosing patients accurately.
  • Developing comprehensive treatment plans and prescribing medication as needed.
  • Consulting with other medical professionals and psychologists.
  • Regularly following up with the patient to check progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
  • Thoroughly documenting each patient's diagnosis, symptoms, medication, treatment effectiveness, etc.
  • Providing patients with emotional support and strategies to help manage their disorder.
  • Informing the patient’s conditions to the responsible adult.
  • Researching new developments in psychiatry and mental health.
  • Utilizing therapies and counseling as and when required.
  • Diagnosing mental and affective conditions.
  • Developing treatment plans, using therapies and counseling, and determining when psychiatric medication is necessary and appropriate.
  • Assisting patients as they cope with difficult situations.
  • Educating family members or guardians on supporting patients.
  • Consulting for social services and court systems.
  • Continuing education activities.

Qualifications for Psychiatrist

  • Doctor of Medicine
  • A Medical degree in child psychiatry and successful completion of residency and fellowship.
  • Board of Psychiatry certification and state license.
  • Experience working with adolescents.
  • A certification in general psychiatry and licensure in child psychiatry.
  • Knowledge of and experience in clinical skills.
  • An understanding and empathetic nature.
  • Excellent listening, verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under intense pressure and respond to difficult questions.
  • Expert diagnostic skills.
