Job Scope/ Summary
- Control timely flow of work to execution teams. Monitor, coordinate, and schedule customer orders, including collaboration with sales, customer care, finance, transportation, and supply chain. Develop and implement distribution center outbound freight strategy.

- This position will be based in one of the following Behr facilities: Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL; Kutztown, PA; Sauk Village, IL; Roanoke, TX.
Essential Functions
- Monitor and report on open orders; coordinate on-time scheduling for prepaid and will call outbound freight; resolve, communicate, and record exceptions or service failures.
- Prepare and analyze required reporting; attend department and cross-functional meetings as applicable to company and departmental goals.
- Generate daily load plan in accordance to financial and operational goals and customers' service level agreements.
- Maintain effective professional relationships with carrier vendors and ensure carrier selection and tendering is in accordance with carrier contracts, transportation budget, and carrier business share.
- Prepare annual freight out budget recommendation; maintain customer appointment and freight out strategies, honoring constraints for customer requirements, level weight per workday, truckload capacity maximization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor the daily freight out accrual and resolve shipment costing issues in collaboration with traffic department personnel.
- Fulfill administrative and office support to the department, including purchasing procedures.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION
- Bachelor degree in Administration or related field or equivalent work experience
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES
- Knowledge of MS Office Suites and software application related to job functions.
- Thorough knowledge of traffic management and product distribution practices.
- Thorough knowledge of inventory control, warehousing, record keeping, and department administrative practices and procedures.
- Considerable knowledge of basic accounting practices and principles.
- Considerable knowledge of purchasing and receiving practices and procedures.
- Ability to communicate courteously and professionally.
- Ability to resolve customer service and freight issues.
