Overview:

Mach Energy Services LLC (“MES”) was founded in early 2016 and is a rapidly growing provider of energy-related construction solutions for the upstream and midstream markets. MES has a position available in our Operations Support group as a Class A CDL Driver - Heavy Haul.

Job Description:

As a Class A CDL driver, you will deliver and recover a variety of equipment, tools, and supplies to and from MES worksites. This role will generally drive a Class A truck hauling equipment on a flatbed or lowboy trailer in a variety of conditions. The ability to drive safely in tight settings such as construction zones is required. Drug screen, physical, and criminal background check is required of the successful candidate. Job Duties:

  • Operate tractor-trailer trucks in safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, in the yard area and at various job sites to deliver materials.
  • Maintain and comply with FMCSA Regulation Part 395 HOS and comply with all FMCSA DOT REGULATIONS and in-house rules.
  • Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines.
  • Maintains vehicles to ensure safe conditions; includes daily inspections of tires, lights, signals, glass, etc. Vehicle fluids and tire air pressures must be checked and serviced daily.
  • Plan travel routes in accordance with applicable traffic and bulk cargo transportations laws, regulations, standards and guidelines.
  • Communicate with operators and other truck drivers in the fleet to coordinate materials handling.
  • Completes and maintains daily truck log, accurately and completely. This includes fuel and mileage reports, IFTA paperwork and daily logs (Includes DOT logs), and relevant information regarding pick-ups, deliveries, and transfers.
  • Accurately manages day to day use and reporting of company provided fuel card.
  • Moving, loading and unloading of MES heavy equipment.
  • Inspect all equipment for damage at time of pick up. Documents findings and submits damage information to supervisor.
  • Reports any unsafe conditions regarding the use of MES equipment.
  • Ensures entire vehicle is clean and meets professional standards, such as DOT inspections.
  • Seeks ways to manage daily routine in the most effective and efficient manner. Works with the manager to implement agreed-upon changes.
  • Assists with the workload in other departments when not busy doing regularly assigned tasks
  • Works closely with the Logistics Coordinator and Equipment Asset Manager to communicate any relevant information regarding company equipment.

Work Environment:

  • Haul Truck, Peterbilt 389
  • Position is required to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Must be able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and safety-toed boots.
  • Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time.
  • Overnight travel will be required. Per diem is paid for travel.

Job Qualifications / Certificates / Licenses

  • 2+ years of Heavy Equipment Haul Truck driving experience
  • Experience pulling flat-beds, RGN lowboy, and dovetail trailers
  • Experience operating / driving various types of heavy machinery for loading / unloading
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no restrictions
  • Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision
  • Must be able to pass DOT Pre-Employment drug screen and background check
  • Must be able to qualify for DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
  • Excellent Driving Record / Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • MVR with no major moving violations or excessive points
  • No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years
  • No DWI / DUI in last 10 years
  • SAFELAND certification a plus
