Job Title: Cashier/Receptionist
Reports to: Accounting Office Manager/Human Resources
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hours: Full-time, Varied Shift Times, SATURDAY SHIFT REQUIRED
Summary: Processes currency transactions by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Receives payments for customer repair orders, parts, vehicle sales and other miscellaneous sales in accordance with training procedures.*
- Processes cash, charge and check payments accurately by applying currency aptitude, operating a credit card machine and verifying personal checks according to procedures.*
- Balances daily sales and payments received from generated printout using a calculator.*
- Logs processed invoices to ensure all invoices are accounted for and complete.*
- Files all sales, repairs orders and vehicle sales information.*
- Answers multi-line telephone system, takes accurate messages, screens calls as needed and relays telephone calls in an efficient manner.*
- Greets, screens and directs incoming customers and vendors in a professional manner.*
- Follows proper procedures for refunding customer deposits.
- Collects and processes outgoing mail daily by operating postage meter.*
- Operates standard office equipment including: postage meter, photocopy machine, facsimile machine, computer and printer, typewriter and multi-line telephone system.*
- Assigns customer numbers with attention to detail(not duplicating customer numbers and accuracy in spelling and information transferred from buyers order)
- Types and files various correspondences and other documentation as required.*
- Maintain clean & orderly waiting area/coffee station
- Maintains a professional office environment and promotes a positive image for the dealership.*
- Scans parts, repair orders & deals on a daily basis.
- Tracks sales people time cards daily; ensure accuracy for payroll.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior receptionist and/or cashier experience is necessary.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
