Card Services Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

Perform clerical work associated with the Card Services department. Interact with members and staff by providing information and resolving problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answer member (or staff) questions and inquiries (balances, purchases, high balance) in a courteous and efficient manner. Investigate and resolve problems / handle disputes, make adjustments as necessary. Maintain file maintenance (name/address changes, order new or replacement cards, close accounts).
• Process approved credit card applications
• Block accounts as necessary, help in the investigation of fraud.
• Handle Lost/Stolen Card accounts or compromised accounts.
• Close and/or transfer balances to new account.
• Maintain and apply knowledge of all Visa/ATM/Debit Card/Gift Card procedures and policies.
• Maintain records, prepare forms and verify information as requested.
• Assist with cleanliness of work and office areas and maintenance of machinery.
• Become proficient in all credit union services and products. Explain, promote and cross sell them to members as appropriate.
• Comply with all safety and security policies, practices and procedures. Report any unsafe or suspicious activities to your supervisor.
• Develop a working knowledge of ServU data processing system as it pertains to your job.
• Assist in other job duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• High School Graduate
• Strong computer skills
• High level of confidentiality
• Extensive computer use and sitting for long periods of time
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in data entry accuracy and proof reading
• Friendly social skills and professional appearance
