CAD Draftsman

Job Summary:

RISE Exhibits and Environments, a leader in the tradeshow, events and environments arena is seeking a full time CAD draftsman. The CAD draftsman will accurately communicate information and ideas by creating drawings that are clear and understandable. This position will require that you are able to work with various departments including design, engineering and production in a team environment in order to produce drawings for the various aspects of the exhibit and tradeshow industry.

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and work independently, are a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Generate shop drawings which include both elevations and details of individual booth components
• Must be detail oriented to ensure that dimensions and all specifications call outs are correct and accurate
• Generate graphic templates
• Generate electrical drawings with accurate dimensions and proper power distribution at locations needed
• Generate set up drawings showing booth component and panel numbers. This may require 3-D drawings on occasion
• Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings
• Become the expert for assigned project design details and requirements
• Work within defined QA/QC review process to ensure accuracy
• May entail working overtime, weekends, etc. on occasion based upon work load

Qualifications: 5-8 years of experience in general CAD drafting. Be proficient with AutoCAD or Solidworx and is able to understand model/paper space. Is able to produce 3-D drawings.

• Associate’s degree in drafting or CAD is preferred. Equivalent skill level and training is required.
• Attention to detail, self-motivated and a team player
• Willing to seek out other assignments or tasks that need to be completed
• Ability to follow company CAD drafting standards and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize jobs
• 5-8 years of Exhibit Trade Show experience or Events Experience
• Positive attitude with the ability to work well with a team
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat

Salary: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
