POSITION SUMMARY
Design and build effective and scalable Business Intelligence solutions including Operational Reports, Data Visualizations, Dashboards, Reporting Data Marts and ETL/Data Integration solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engage based a consultative approach with business users, asking questions to understand the business needs and deriving the data flow, logical and physical data models based on those needs.
  • Responsible for leading development of the reporting framework
  • Provide engineering, design and developmental insights for the team in building and sustaining an enterprise level data analytics platform
  • Hands-on development with thorough knowledge of scripting, data source integration, and development
  • Assist with process definition and contribute to library of reusable objects (fields, calculations, KPI, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancy issues as they occur, identify criticality and impact, provide support and appropriate workarounds
  • Develop specifications for all areas and domains of the enterprise, including Data Warehouse, Provisioning, Master Data Management, ETL and BI.
  • Design processes that can be implemented with minimal disruption to supporting systems and that are cost effective.
  • Execute data conversions and provides guidance to junior developers when needed
  • Performs other duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Science or Engineering. Computer Science degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of enterprise level IT experience
  • 8-10 years of experience with data architecture and exposure to other domains such as business architecture and application design.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
  • N/A
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
  • Experience in RDMS like MS SQL Server and related modules.
  • Ability to apply the development, sustenance, and project management best practices with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to grasp complex concepts and ability to communicate internally with all stakeholders
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with stakeholders and cross functional departments
Computer Skills
  • Understanding of relational database principals, expertise in SQL.
  • Experience in Microsoft Power BI is required.
  • Experience in C# or Java or Python is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in Hadoop or other big data and NoSQL solutions is a plus.
  • Experience in data science and creating models is a plus.
Language Skills
  • English (reading, writing, verbal).
Mathematical Skills
  • College level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
