This is a 3-month contract to hire.

Overview: Buys raw materials for Company

Responsibilities: The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Plans, orders, and maintains assigned commodities or items and outside processes per MRP system and requisitions
• Negotiates pricing
• Reviews out of shelf-life materials for possible recertification
• Runs MRP and Min/Max Reports
• Creates and maintains purchase orders according to MRP requirements
• Reviews raw material usage for forecasting purposes
• Closes out completed purchase orders for order purge
• Calls vendors to follow up or check status of orders

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some college preferred
• Minimum 6 years purchasing experience, preferably in an aerospace environment
• Internet buying experience
• Proficient in MS Office
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good math skills
• Ability to learn MRP/MAPICS software
• Ability to interface with all levels of management and production floor employees
• APICS certificate a plus

Salary Range: $36.45–$49.20. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.

Pay: $36.45 - $49.20 per hour
