Job Summary

Bussers clear, clean and reset tables. They clear off finished plates and mark tables with cutlery needed throughout the Guests dining experience. Further responsibilities include; taking dirty utensils and drinkware to the kitchen to be washed, keeping water glasses full, stocking stations, helping deliver food to tables, re-stock and polish utensils, fold napkins and maintain general cleanliness of the restaurant spaces to ensure smooth service. The Busser will also assist in guiding Guests throughout the restaurant and answering any general questions that may arise.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with service team to ensure tables are cleared, clean, sanitized, and ready for next guests
• Support service staff with arranging tables for large parties when needed
• Anticipate guest needs with drink refills, plate clearing, or any other guest needs
• Vacuum/sweep under tables after guests leave to ensure it is clean for the next guests
• Help stock silverware, ingredients, and other supplies needed to ensure prompt service
• Regularly clean and stock restrooms
• Uphold high safety and sanitation standards
• Participate in executing private events as booked by the sales team
• Follows daily opening and closing duties set by Manager

Skills & Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of one years’ experience
• Must have NYC High volume restaurant experience
• Experienced in Asian/Japanese cuisine is a plus
• Maintain a high level of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
• Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
• Ability to multi-task and anticipate guest needs
• Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to kneel, reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and lift at least 35lbs
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends and holidays
