The Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring new business from prospects through sales of ICIS Chemical solutions within the Kentucky, Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Indiana territory.
You will plan, organize, and execute sales campaigns with the emphasis on new business acquisition.
Responsibilities:
- Daily activities: prospect/client effective conversations, LinkedIn post, LinkedIn engagement
- Identifying challenges and problems your prospects are trying to solve
- With the assistance of your Manager, you will plan, organize, and execute sales campaigns to acquire target prospective customers
- We have over 20,000 prospects in our Ideal Customer Profile within USA alone
- Handle inbound leads with a consultative sales approach
- Demonstrated high performance behaviors
- Manage the full sales cycle in a consultative sales approach utilizing value-based selling conversations
- Work closely with other departments (marketing, legal, product, senior leadership) to manage the entire customer onboarding experience, sales cycle, and delivery of ICIS’ solutions ensuring an excellent prospect/customer journey
Development:
- Daily: Coaching/Training/Mentoring Sessions with Manager available and encouraged
- Weekly: 4 hours of ‘drop in drop out’ sales training/coaching with your manager and team
- Monthly: 1-2-1 sessions with Manager to track progress of professional developments and goals
- Gong Call reviews to identify areas of strengths and areas of improvement
- Quarterly: reflection on your previous quarter: successes, failures, and lessons learned
Daily outbound Expectations:
- Ramp up to 5 new meetings per week
- Minimum 3 new conversations per day
- Account plans for top 100 target accounts to be completed by year end
Candidates need:
- Sales Experience is needed but the number of years is not a deciding factor
- An interest in uncovering prospect pains, and helping to solve them
- An ability to follow a process; supported with professional and personal life examples
- To demonstrate their daily sales habits that have led to their previous success
- A keen interest personal/professional development
- Evidence of personal investment to professional development is a plus
- An inquisitive mindset
- A positive mindset
- A desire to improve, progress and hit your potential
