Amida is currently looking for a Business Development Lead, to be a member of the Business Development (BD) team that helps solve business and technical problems for prospective clients. We are especially well known in Health IT, so for this role we are looking for candidates who can help us gain business from the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and related organizations and missions, as well as HHS, NIH, CMS, CDC, FDA, Social Security, and, of course, Veterans Affairs.
You will serve as a business development resource. You will help match Amida's competencies and capabilities to client data-centric requirements throughout the federal health ecosystem, help create tuned presentations and proposals, and be the face of Amida to the client.
What you will do:
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Amida solutions and value proposition.
- Identify and add opportunities to the business development pipeline.
- Engage in technology marketing activities.
- Improve competitive positioning by providing appropriate feedback to the engineering team.
- Understand the needs and pains of the customer and link them to the appropriate Amida solution(s).
- Liaise with members of the BD team and other technical experts within Amida to create case studies.
- Present and articulate solution benefits, understand industry trends, and connect them to Amida's past performance to explain how an Amida solution will meet the client's needs.
- Maintain awareness of relevant competitive solutions and define opportunities for differentiation.
- Ensure that Amida's BD team and channel partners have the focused technical collateral and tools to successfully position, sell, and deploy Amida's solutions.
Ideal Experience and Skills
- 5 or more years of related (Federal Contracting) business development, capture or bid and proposal experience and a proven track record of success.
- A network of client and industry contacts within DOD/DHA.
- Knowledge of Defense Acquisitions, DFARS and related acquisition vehicles.
- The aptitude and interest to understand our technical approach and a strong sense of curiosity.
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- A dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work independently with limited guidance and oversight.
- Proven technical knowledge/understanding and ability to work with a technical team.
- High attention to detail and the capacity to work comfortably in a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
- Excellent presentation and creative skills.
