Lightbits Labs is looking for a high-energy, driven, and self-motivated individual to join the Sales team as a Business Development Associate. This is not a typical "sales" job where all you do is cold call- you'll be working closely with our executives to research organizations that use high-performance cloud technology (almost everyone), and then reaching out to CEOs and CTOs of the biggest companies in the world. Not many jobs would have reach out directly to the CTO of companies like Netflix, Uber, NBA, or go to networking events with the engineers that make technology like Tesla or Twitch. Becoming a Business Development Representative is the first step to a rewarding and lucrative career in software and hardware sales in Silicon Valley level technology orgs. Moreover, this is a rare chance to enter the 'high-tech' world of hardware that powers and enables nearly every aspect of technology today- and the exciting tech of the future you'll be exposed to. Responsibilities

  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop Target Accounts and inbound leads to create sales-ready meetings and opportunities. This includes target market penetration, calling on CXOs, senior-level executives, trade show attendance, following up on marketing generated leads, webinar and event follow-up
  • Research, Research, Research. Find the right people at the right companies. Find out what they do, and why they should talk to us.
  • Interact with prospects via telephone, video correspondence, and email.
  • Disseminate opportunities to appropriate Salesperson, educating each rep as necessary about the opportunity.
  • Effectively handle and overcome prospect objections with confidence.
  • Become a trusted resource and develop productive relationships with prospects.
  • Update lead scoring and prospect interaction in salesforce.com to ensure efficient lead management.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual pipeline generating targets to ensure territory revenue objectives and pipeline linearity.
  • Provide closed-loop feedback to ensure continuous process optimization.
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet our core values and culture.

  • Self-Starter attitude ie, can you come up with things to do on your own VS. needing direction all the time? We don't micromanage, so we need you to be proactive and ask questions, and propose new ideas.
  • A focus on Humility and Teamwork Can you take and give criticism effectively? Can you see how your work is connected to other teams?
  • Do Whatever It Takes mindset There's no time for talking about doing things or planning- we're not storytellers or philosophers. Our objective is simple: we have our goals to accomplish and to over-achieve.
  • Time management Manage your calendars, and others.
  • Organization Pretty simple - stay on top of your emails, keep track of your work, etc.
  • Empathy - Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Consistent track record of achieving measurable goals- please bring examples of this
  • Ability to work in a high-energy sales team environment. Can you prove that you're hungry for more business?
  • A sense of urgency to achieve goals and take the company further is key.
  • Positive and energetic attitude, excellent listening skills, strong writing and presentation skills.

  • Professionalism. Might be obvious, but worth stating: can you show up on time or earlier for meetings? Create briefing documents for executives? Dress professionally for important meetings? Able to represent yourself, the team, and the company in the best way.
  • Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (file and data organization, email, chat apps, Google Suite, MS Office)
  • Project Management, Sales, Customer, Marketing experience a plus
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience required
