Classic Equine Equipment, located among the rolling hills and horse farms of Southern Missouri, was founded in 1991 on a love for horses and a commitment to their ultimate care and safety. Though a lot has changed since then, our mission remains the same: To provide quality stall systems, barn components, and accessories to meet the needs of all horse owners.

The Business Development Associate is a full-time position responsible for qualifying sales opportunities, improving the customer experience, and assisting the Classic-Equine Equipment (CEE) sales and marketing teams in driving incremental revenue opportunities for the business.

Essential Functions

  • Supports and executes business strategies focused on improving customer experience by serving as the first point of contact for website inquiries; responding to website inquiries in a timely and professional manner to answer general questions and educate customers on CEE products.
  • Collaborates with marketing and field operations to drive incremental revenue and new customer acquisition; gathering additional information from customers to qualify leads based on business criteria; connecting leads with appropriate sales consultants and updating the Hubspot CRM system accordingly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or office environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent follow through
  • Displays active listening skills, giving full attention and taking time to understand the points being made
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, positive high energy work ethic and integrity
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook email, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to maintain customer confidentiality
