Responsibilities


Analysis

  • Develop a thorough knowledge/analysis of the Carbon Capture, Transport and Storage value chain: technical, economical, reglementary, CCS market under development, with the objective to have a full view including Total Cost of Ownership approach.
  • Provide market view, with the support of analysis.
  • Identify roadblocks in the development of the CCS chain.
  • Study new opportunities, analyses/recommendation for decision making.
  • Analyse supplier/partner’s strategy,
  • Understand competitors/other industry strategy and follow up,
  • Understand and identify gaps or lack of regulations or US regulations for carbon hubs, transport, and sequestration of CO2.

Project development

  • Work with ArcelorMittal plants and external partners/suppliers on the development of projects of Transport and Storage of CO2
    • Lead developments with supplier/partners
    • Analyse proposals: Assess, review, and propose partnership projects.
    • Build MoU to define the project objectives, stakes, timeline, governance, etc.
    • Lead and follow the developments.
  • Prioritize the projects-partners.
  • Develop business models required and potential Special Vehicles such as Joint Ventures when relevant for each part of the chain (hubs, transport & storage)
  • Ensure, once a strategic partnership or JV formed, business plan achievement and develop the company with partners when relevant.
  • Set up & run proper governance with internal stakeholders to drive and ensure coordination (CTO, Shipping Finance, M&A, Operations, JV Partners, etc.)
  • Ensure that JVs compliance fulfils all AM requirements.

Other activities

  • Support development of the group strategy on CCS
  • Support lobby/actions with external stakeholders, governments, etc.
  • Involved in the team activity.

Minimum Requirements


Degree / Certification Required

  • Education: Master of Science degree in Finance, Business Management, Engineering, or similar.

Language / Proficiency Level

  • Fluent in English

Experience / Competence

  • Minimum professional experience of 8-15 years, preferably in a global industrial company and with a successful business development experience.
  • Alternatively, a 10+ experience in steel industry.
  • Good communication (discussion, presentation, meetings preparation).
  • Ability to navigate through a multi-cultural, international environment, developing solid relationships with different stakeholders.
  • Well organized.
  • Committed to respecting deadlines.
  • Team player.
  • Result Oriented.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Autonomous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (communication, connecting people, persuasion).
