Job description
The Business Analyst role is a specialist on complex technical, business matters, and industry best practices. The Business Analyst uses skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving to address organizational challenges and opportunities.
Duties include consulting with users to identify current operating policies, procedures, and common uses scenarios in order to support computer system requirements, solution selection, and implementation. Producing documentation to describe system configuration, workflows, logic, third party system relationships, and change management methodologies.
Responsibilities Include
- Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement
- Documenting and participating in new system selection to insure these systems meet organizational, operational, and compliance needs
- Improve training and operational procedures to increase productivity
- Ensures that systems that will benefit from industry best practices and/or require regulatory compliance are implemented and used in a manner that meets those needs
- Work with clients to understand business and technical requirements
- Create and present reports to team members and stakeholders to support recommendations
- Oversee implementation of projects from inception to completion
- Use a variety of data analysis and organizational tools to uncover insights
- Managing and communicating system changes
- Engaging with company Operations members to address changing needs of the business
Requirements Include
- Project management using tools to track and report on project progress, costs, and milestones
- Strong knowledge of company operations, policies, and procedures
- Sharp problem-solving, analytical and innovation skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex ideas into simple language for non-technicians
- Solid system use-case understanding and testing skills for use in troubleshooting, upgrading, and implementing new systems or features
- Keen leadership including the ability to assume a team lead role for the work-group as project requirements dictate
- Able to drive projects from inception to completion, resolve problems, build consensus, and utilize company leaders to clear obstacles
