Job Title: Bookkeeper
Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Supervisor: Store Manager or Credit Manager
The ideal candidate for this position must be able to record account information while maintaining reports relating to cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable using computers, calculators, and copy machines. The candidate must also be able to calculate, prepare and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial reports including amounts due, interest charges, and account balances.
Work activities include the preparation of monthly billing statements and account invoices, gathering data and identifying differences on records and reports using a Point of Sale system, electronic mail, and letters. Other functions includemaking decisions that affect other people, the financial resources, and/or the image and reputation of the company, all of which require being exact or highly accurate.
Administrative activities will include typing, accepting orders, sorting mail, answer telephones and taking messages. The candidate will be expected to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with customers and employees. Additional duties include entering and correcting time sheet information, time off requests, and assisting when requested by management. This position is also responsible for maintaining an inventory of office forms and supplies.
Salary for this position will be based on a candidate’s experience, education, and qualifications.
